    Do an AltBoot software install via usb thumbdrive.

        If this is a non Tag 6 machine you have to press 8 or 9 when the machine status button lights up for an Altboot to start.

          What BRAND is your USB? I personally use Kingston has they have the BEST compatibility, formatting in FAT32.

            I also used a Kingston,

            only Format with FAT32 and the copy the files to the ALTBOOT dir ? schould work ?
            I have any sucess with this, trying around for hours,
            the Statuslamp with only blink and the Screen with Show the Xerox StartupScreen with Please Wait - Booting

            any hints or Solutions ?

                  I have also try to connect an new HDD wthout success

                  Require the ALTBOOT any other files to boot on the USB stick ? (Linux boot files etc ?)

                  is there an diagnose option on this machine, that can be startet at boot, by pressing a key or something ?

                    Dont push too much with altboot procedure because you can brick your UI board.
                    Ther are many reasons for machine non booting. You need service manual and do a lot of checkings before loading software.

                            If you are going to do an AltBoot, make sure you are using the correct software depending on if your machine is connect key model or not.
                            061..... or 071..... I made the mistake of using 061 software on a connect key machine once and for a while couldnt figure out why the altboot wasnt working.
