Technician Wages

That's a great idea whose time has come. But as I said, I'm a former copier technician. I got out of the field and into IT. I still work on printers and copiers fairly often as part of my IT job, but I don't think I would qualify as a copier/printer field technician. Thanks for the vote of confidence, thoughLeave a comment:

I feel for you guys. As a former field tech (for 13 years) I know how the vast majority of copier dealers view technicians as a necessary evil. Salesmen are always taken care of first when it comes to pay adjustments and techs are lucky if they get raises at all. You would think that techs would make good money because of all the intelligence, education, and talent it takes to be an effective technician. Unfortunately, the ability to bullshit and look nice in a suit are what's really important in this world (at least in the world of copiers).Leave a comment:

benefits nope none of those with the office I work in. Vacation. One week a year. Pay Raise.. Not very often. Only reason I got a pay raise in last few years was cause the new accountant told the Owner that he was WAY Underpaying his techs. The man has so much money from this copier company and his other side businesses that he doesn't understand that prices on things go up.Leave a comment:

Technician Wages
I'm trying to review our current payscale since it hasn't been adjusted in a while and with us about to start hiring, I don't want to not get techs to apply because of starting wage. I've tried calling some competition in my area, but they wouldn't give out any info. I understand depending on the location of the company, the wages are going to be different, so if you could put the city you work in with the average wages of your company so I can adjust for cost of living, I would appreciate it.
1. Entry Level Tech or minimal certs/experiance:

-What kind of vacation and benefits are given?:
-Are raises at regular intervals and what percent?:
Thanks for all input, please don't give your actual wages, just estimates.
