    Brother MFC 7340

I have a question about a Brother MFC 7340, it had a squeek that I couldn't find at customers location, so I brought it back to the shop. That problem is fixed but now it jams just after the fuser ... about 1 1/2 inch out. this model has a photosensor board that accepts the thermistor input and the thermal fuse input from the fuser ... from that board, a ribbon cable connects it to the engine board. I double checked the connections and to see if the photosensor flag was tripping the sensor ... I even disconnected the ribbon cable and turned on the printer, received a fuser error !! so the ribbon is probably good !!
Could anything else be causing this ??? I had removed the High voltage power supply because I thought I had lost a screw ...

Have you checked the Brother Inkjet Cartridges that are installed in your printer or some other settings that are required and also you can take it back to the customer care shop and ask for the problem, you might get the problem solved.

      Thanks for the reply ...

Fuser would relate only to a copier or LASER printer and this is a laser all-in-one ...

The problem by the way is resolved - that ribbom cable that I referred to was broken between the flex and where it plugs into the connector on the MCB, I cut off the affected area ... sanded down the insulation with a dremel (carefully ) and put it back into the connector and used a bit of a card to build up the thickness on the backside and to ensure a good connection. The smaller these machines get ... the more fragile the connections become !!

      Thanks again, Mike
