Sounds to me like the originals are NOT face-up.

Yes, I am going to guess at one of two things here,,, either the user is placing documents on the right side of the entry tray (using it as a quasi work surface) while sending items through the document feeder, or one of the two sensors that the flags actuate are being sensed as blocked (like by a sticky flag?).

Therein you will find the solution to your quandary!!!

        Mr.Fixit51,
Are you referring to the paper size sensor flags?

Wouldn't that also generate a jam code?

mrfixit51 _hit it on the head>>>

Blank copy DADF-H1 =one or both of the flags for the document sensor PI3 and PI4 fails to return to home position.

The Flag for the document length sensor has been redesigned to address this issue. The Part Number is FB5-9424-020

No, it does not generate a jam code.

The copier is looking to doc feed an 11X17 document if those flags are held activated. The blank copy results from the second half of the 11X17 document that is not being scanned, if you are scanning letter sized originals. If you want, you can try this on another copier. You can also do that, and print onto 11X17 paper, and then your image will be there.

I particularly enjoyed a 4" x 6" notecard, on which was written "Do not use document feeder. Prints on wrong size paper.", that was taped over the paper length sensor.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                          dear sirs,

We currently facing a problem with iR3300 ADF whereby it always has paper jam after it feeds the last piece. It doesn't matter how many pieces we feed it in (10 pieces or 20 pieces), only the last piece stuck. If it's a single page, it still stuck. Our tech already dismantled the adf but couldn't find the issue. Please advice.

                          Thank you.

Try a new tech. :-) does it feed the 1 sheet then try to feed another sheet that isn't there because your original detect sensor is not reading properly.

                              OBSERVATION is all it takes>>>>
Document Set Sensor PI10 is not being activated properly.
The flag that the paper actuates in the original tray is hanging up.
This will not allow the flag that togglesPI10to activate the sensor>the copier thinks there is another original on the tray and it will try to feed paper.

PI10 and the flag are pictured below.
                              PI10.jpg
                              flag.jpg
Check the flag for PI10, and make sure it moves freely when the cover is opened and closed. It should hang down in the paper path when the feeder cover is closed. P/N FB5-9443-000.
