Re: HP laserjet 1022 double image problem
These problems are usually due to a fuser assembly... sometimes putting in an OEM is the only way to be sure. Sometimes generic ctgs will cause this. Once or twice in my life, I've seen a transfer roller cause this problem. Cleaning it won't help. You have to replace it. But my bet is generally on the fuser or the ctg.Comment

Re: HP laserjet 1022 double image problem
Yes, but a bad ctg can create a repeat from the fuser... so it'll measure as a bad fuser, even if it's the ctg. Come to think of it, the times a transfer roller did this to me, it didn't measure as a transfer roller. I didn't actually measure it, so I don't know if it was happening in the fuser or drum, but it definitely wasn't the length for the transfer roller (they're much smaller).Comment

Re: HP laserjet 1022 double image problem
Did I measure correctly? Is it about 60mm? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: HP laserjet 1022 double image problem
Do a half print test and see whether the ghosted image happens before or after the fuser. Might be a little tricky to know exactly when to open the lid going off of your picture, but, that's a sure fire way to know.Comment
