[CQ] HP CLJ CM6040 Poor Copy Quality / Print Ok

Hello All,

Does anyone have solution to the poor copy quality on HP CLJ CM6040, prints from computer are ok and scans to PC are ok, only copy is poor. I have already replaced the Scanner Laser Units, but no luck.

this seems a common issue with this model printer, I am sure most us have faced this problem at some point.

go to control panel
press copy -> more arrows -> optimize text/picture -> select PHOTOGRAPH -> OK

Thanks for the help, I have tried that and all other PQ troubleshooting options but no luck. I have replaced the scanner assembly, the laser scanner units and still no luck.

Test its copy quality with know GOOD MACHINE's formatter board, PN Q3938-67977.
