    compatible toner

    Hi,
There are a lot of compatible toner offered out the for the HP 4250, 4350tn. My question is whether it is better to stick with HP toner (more expensive) than to use the compatible counterparts. I also have a HP officejet pro x4756MFP and when I tried another brand the machine got really messed up. The later is an inkjet and the first one is a laserjet . I am wondering if the laserjet 4250 would be able to work as well with the compatible toner... Anyone who has tried this?

I use compatibles all the time. As long as you don't want perfect prints, they work fine. But then, 10 other technicians will offer ten other opinions.

I had a HP 2600n that lasted me 10 years.. until I put Verbatim 3rd party toner cartridges in it. First the yellow one dumped toner all over the inside of the printer.. then the cyan did. So my two cents; avoid Verbatim.

Compatible toners ruin a perfectly servable printer.

HP etc spend hundreds of thousands of pounds, if not more, developing toner to ensure optimum quality & device reliability.

Lost count of faults I've seen over the years due to poor quality toner.
