Re: Designjet T790 error 01.0.10
01.0.YZ
Communication with Engine PCA failed
The .10 part (.YZ) indicates "replace" as the Recovery Action.
Reseat the formatter
If no change:
Replace the Engine PCA
Replace the Formatter
NOTE: For Revision B printers, the Formatter and Hard Disk are replaced as a single part. -
Re: Designjet T790 error 01.0.10
I think there's a 3V battery on the formatter.. make sure it's not dead. That seems to cause odd errors.
I had a T1100 with the same error; at first it appeared that it was the power supply, and replacing it got it to work again.. for a week. Then it did the same thing. Thinking the PSU was defective, I replaced it under warranty.. but the new one didn't get the printer working. We then tried a new Engine PCA.. and then a new formatter. The printer then worked for a week or two, and went back to the same error. I told the customer it was hopeless. I never did find out what was causing the error.
I wish I knew what more to suggest!
