    Designjet 5500 System Error 010030 034c095a

    This started with a "hard drive failure."

    I replaced the power supply with a brand new one. They're coming from China now... I don't think this is an OEM HP part. Anyway, still got the HD error, so I got a new HD. Now I get: 010030 034c095a

    Any thoughts?

      Also--the machine initializes up to 40%, the carriage moves to the left, and that's when the error comes up.

          You may have gotten a bummer PSU board. I've replaced the PSU and HDD together on I think two 5500 over the past year and a half / two years. I remember the adapter you get for the HDD (SATA --> PATA) doesn't have the one pin "drilled" out. Pain in the butt to "make it" work.

              HP still supplies the power supply. I agree with Lance; you may have another bad PSU.
