Re: hp DJ T2500 plotter
Just watched HP's video on replacing the printhead in the T2500. Not to dis-similar from the Officejet PRO 8600 and a few DesignJet's. I guess this printhead also COMES with ink cartridges that it says MUST be used? Maybe they didn't install the ink cartridges that came with the printhead and the plotter is "stuck" thinking the printhead replacement isn't complete? Might have to order a new printhead. -
Re: hp DJ T2500 plotter
The printhead in the T2500 does not come with inks the printheads you refer to are smaller and inks are in the unit. These inks are bigger cartridges and 3 are on each side of the machine. I do think he should of had full inks before he started. but now that ink supply was restored. how do I proceed beyond this failure to complete message.Comment

Look through this attachment and see if anything helps. You may have to replace the printhead again.

Re: hp DJ T2500 plotter
My suggestion is to remove the roll paper and printhead manually, then power ON. When the machine calls for a printhead, follow the prompts.
I've found that some of these plotters get stuck in an error loop, and won't recover until the printhead and paper are completely removed, then let the machine request them.
Are they OEM ink cartridges? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

What Blackcat said. Also make sure the firmware is up to date; they added an incremental purge in the service menu that may help. I found more about it here:

Re: hp DJ T2500 plotter
I had a similar problem, but I can't exactly remember the symptoms. I just remember that in order to solve it, I had to install a brand new printhead with brand new inks, all at the same time. I went through the process as spelled out by the machine itself on the display panel.Comment
