    Designjet t1600 error 0066 0001 0059

Hi. I'm about to go look at a T1600 with an error 0066 0001 0059.
Never seen one of these machines before, although I've worked on the T930's
Is this a cutter error? Any pointers would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Yes, xx66 is a problem with the cutter. The cutter is part of the belt (thanks HP.) I've not had the pleasure of dealing with one, so I don't know what to look for. There's an engagement pin that sticks out of the cutter, I guess make sure that moves in and out freely. I see too there's a jig you have to use to measure the cutter placement. I've attached the adjustment instructions. Maybe it'll help.

Hopefully there's just a strip of paper caught up in the cutter or something.

Thanks for that Kiran 😁 It's an odd one. It cuts in one direction, but not the other. I've ordered a new cutter and belt. I hope I don't need to do any adjustments, 'cos that looks very confusing 🤔
Thanks for your time. I'll post back after I've fitted the new cutter.

This is a common symptom of a dull or broken cutter, also cutting part-way across the page then stopping.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
