    HP LJ E72525

Don't know the newer HP models.

Just sold this off lease machine and only has 5k on meter. The lead edge registration is off about 1/4" when using doc feeder, good off the glass. ADF rollers still look new. Is there an adjustment or any other settings to correct this?

    Thanks in advance

Re: HP LJ E72525 - Adjustment ADF

    Hello,

you can find the following adjustment options for ADF in service menu:

Support Tools > Service > Service Access Code (xxxxxxxx) > Scanner Settings >

    - ADF: LeadingFront Edge
    - ADF: LeadingBack Edge
    - ADF: TrailingFront Edge
    - ADF: TrailingBack Edge
    - ADF: Left Side Front
    - ADF: Left Side Back

    Good Luck!

Talk about feeling really stupid. The customer had A4 size paper in the trays and why the registration was off. I was in a hurry and didn't notice until I went back today. Since I'm located in the US I never see A4 size paper. Last time and probably only time I've seen it was years ago in a lawyers office that also had office in UK.

Glad it was easy and makes sense since machine only has 5k on meter.

Thanks again Ronny for the reply

do you guys know if this adjustment is applicable to the laser jet enterprise mfp M527? this one has correct lead edge registration in ADF, but its short on the trailing edge by about a 1/4 inch. horizontal size is correct though. so, maybe the adf is running to fast because its reduced top to bottom, not side to side?? copies on the glass are correct.

        thank you very much.

          Hello,

usually you should open a new thread for a new question, even if it seems to be the same issue for another machine. - It makes searching/finding a solution much easier.
UPDATE: I just found your post regarding this model:
HP laser jet enterprise MFP M527 adf copies are slightly reduced even after calibrati

Since it is nearly same solution:

HP laser jet enterprise mfp M527 - scanner ( ADF ) adjustment:

Open Service Menu > Scanner Settings > ADF settings:
          • Leading edge front
          • Leading edge back
          • Trailing edge front
          • Trailing edge back
          • Left side front
          • Left side back

Be careful changing values and note down original values before changing any!

          Good luck!

              thank you very much guys.
it didn't resolve the reducing or the image, but i was able to get rid of the border line at the bottom.
              many thanks.
