HP CLJ 2600 ghost image, tried diff toners, new fuser and paper settings??

Usually one of those things resolves this problem. seems to only be doing it with black,
tried three diff black toners and a new fuser. still does it. tried paper settings fromm thick to thin, no effect. Any one have a suggestion? beginning to think its a bad batch of toner
colors do not ghost but black does. Thanks for any help, Machine has less than 30k prints
transfer belt is in great shape and clean.

      OEM toner or compatible? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Can you show us a sample? Just curious how much of a ghost you are getting. I mean is it just a slight halo/double effect or are you seeing the image repeating later down the page.

weakness with the power supplies in these machines, but update firmware first since that's a freebie
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

can you check distance between ghosted images. or between original and ghost? this can give you exact source of problem or at least narrow down search for it.
