    [CQ] Ecosys P6325

    Hi All,

We just picked up Kyocera Printers. I am Ricoh trained but had some experience (a little) with Kyocera products.

We just placed 6 of the Ecosys P6325 printers in 4 different locations in January. I am getting CQ calls left and right. It seems that the toner, Original Kyocera, causing lines on the drums, like tear drops. This is happening mainly with the black but also is happening with the colors, not as much as they are not used as much. The clicks on the machines are between 7K and 11K.

Have not gotten access to the Kyocera site as of yet. Are there any Service bulletins on this issue? Anyone else seeing this issue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it, maybe, probably not we are at the pub!

Can you present some samples? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

They supposedly changed something with the drum unit. Changed the thickness of a spacer inside the unit itself. We still see this all the time with this series. Just got to change the drum and warranty the defective one.

Yup. Kyocera spaced the drum blade closer to the drum for better cleaning. It must be working to some degree, because I'm not seeing the same machines repeatedly.

If you're in a pinch, they will clean off with orange-sol or Fast505 and a lot of rubbing with webrils. Then a rinse with alcohol. =^..^=

There is a service bulletin from July of 2017. Reference number is 2NR-0036 {H139}. We still see the problem with new drum units.
