    Kyocera FS9530 image distorted

    1.5 Mil on this beast

    Recently replaced maintenance kit

Now images are distorted. Parts of image is squished and expanded. Almost as if the speed of the paper or drum rotation is varying. I seen this on Sharp drums when the core end caps get loose.

    See sample:

    Drum defective perhaps?

    Anyone seen this issue?

Assuming the fault was not present before you replaced the kit? Fit each old part back one at a time & see which item is defective.

I would start with the transfer unit.

Prints or copies or scans? Using the DF? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Prints.

        No DF.

        Monochrome printer.

And I believe it's reports generated from a database program, so no pdfs or jpegs bring printed.

        Thanks

As Copiertec has suggested, replace the old items back in one at a time. I have not seen this on the FS9530 printer, but have seen it on its copier sister where it was the drum bushing binding up, that would be the first item I would replace.

Had one do similar. The metal drum entry guide in the MK was a tad warped. Swapped it and the problem went away. might start there, pretty easy swap.

                Adobe Scan Mar 16, 2021.pdf

Latest: Replaced all parts from another new MK. Still same issue.

Did this only happen after the MK was installed? If new MK was put in to correct, go and check the clear guide films that come in the kit. If they are installed too high they will interfere with the nip of the registration roller. Also check for proper registration roller (the gray one in the conveying unit) installation to be sure its not binding any. That sample shows a repeating pattern of error. I hope you find it.

So what was the problem assuming you got it fixed by now??

Have you tried blocking the print or copy before it gets to the fuser

clean slit glass if that doesn't fix

clean mirrors in the laser unit
