so does it kick an error?

    what have you done?

1st thing to try on ANY unit that is doing this:

    1) pull all wire harnesses of the boards and reseat

    2) flash firmware.

    3) check life of consumables... replace and that are needed.

unplug any cables on the back like usb and network cables. then reboot and see if it will power all the way up then.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

are you able to boot into the diagnostic menu? sometimes you can do this when it won't load the normal way.

change the fuser, or hvps. seem not coming up the proper way of booting.

please wait for warming up, or checking the temp. also i had the side door have this issue, printhead problem, (laser cable) broke.

                  good luck

Seems as though removing all connectors on the controller board and re-seating would be an idea. You won't be able to flash firmware if the machine is not in a ready state unless it shows up on the network and the web page displays (unlikely). Also as a previous poster suggested, removing all network connections and trying reboot again.

Controller board comes to mind on so many Lexmarks.

its was a cable for me, if i recall, i do not quite remember which though, one of the cable molex had a bad soldering point on the mother board, had to double check the soldering, i would jimmy rig the side door then touch the cable or motherboard to get an idea where the break will be. but most definitely its the main board.
