XM 3250 multi sheet deeding from paper tray

Have a fairly high volume machine that has ran fine until this point but now seems to multi sheet feed from the paper tray on a regular basis. Have replaced the sep roller assembly and the tray with the same results. Anyone familiar to this issue?

    Thanks

Not familiar with Lexmark but those separation assy includes some kind of torque limiter or spring?

Lexmarks use a unique sort of separation. If I were to give it a name, I'd call it "radius separation". The pickup rollers are particularly grippy, and the action of pulling the top page off of the stack and bending it 90 degrees up the vertical path provides the separation. There ARE very small friction pads on the separation assembly, but in my experience they don't do much. Those separation rollers DO counter-rotate, but again, it doesn't do much. There is nothing adjustable about this separation system.

      Three questions:
      1) Is it special media like NCR, or card with perforated edges?
      2) Have you tried the standard 20# bond that you sell? Bring a ream to test.
      3) Try re-cleaning those separation rollers with orange cleaner or WD40.

That's about all that you can do.

      =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We have never experienced double feeding from the paper trays on any of the Lexmark models we sell which includes the XM3250. I would go with blackcats recommendation and give them a few reams of paper and see what happens. Could save you a bunch of trips trying to find a problem with the machine that doesn't exist.
