I have seen static charge from toner blow up a regular vacuum! Proceed with caution.......

Household vacuum cleaners are designed to pick up dust. Toner particles are much smaller than dust particles, so the bag/filter in the household vac will not hold toner particles. I've seen quite a mess caused by trying!

Also, toner is designed to be moved around by static electricity on purpose. While that can frequently cause toner explosions due to static discharges in the filter in a vacuum not designed for toner, it will cause you to experience a series of irritating to very painful static discharges every time when you vacuum toner with an improper vacuum. Heh, I had to wear my anti-static wristband back in the day to avoid that before we got us vacuums with grounded nozzles.

          Where's the Shop Vac?
I had a customer at a Best Buy store that called to say that he had installed the third toner cartridge on his Mita DC2585 and it still said add toner! By the time I arrived, he had decided that he would clean up a little for me, and had grabbed one of the nice wet/dry shop vacuums off the shelf, and got to vacuuming. I think he was pretty pleased with himself until he noticed that all that toner had passed right through the shop vac, and had made a nice charcoal gray haze on every surface of his office (if you moved a piece of paper on his desk, there was a clean spot 8 1/2" x 11")(every place I walked left a clean footprint shape). Even the ceiling was covered. It's funny, he wasn't available to talk to me when I arrived to fix the machine.....

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I've seen that more than once (and I'll admit that I caused that at least once, when I didn't cover enough area when emptying a DV box).

              Toner goes thru the filter.
Melts into the hot bushings and will harden like glue when it cools down.
But i have seen cheap regular vacuums take a beating for a while.
3M toner vac stays the best brand i have used with convac a distant second.
              Whatever

the most important components you already have: the 3M hose and the 3M filter. If fit to any vaccum cleaner you get a powerfull stationery tool.

Hilarious! I could have told nearly the exact same story about one of my clients -with the same old Mita machine too!
This took my back a few years
