Hallo,

Symptoms:

• Engine switch on, -> warming up, -> ready to print appears
• all testpatterns and listprints are possible without errors

If disable the Harddisk with software switch 02-01 -0 then I have the following situation:

• print is possible
• copy is possible

• OACB
• IMCB
• IPB
• PRCB
• IFB
• 4 x HDD (Harddisk)

Wasnt this a firmware issue?What level of firmware are you running..also what version of system software is the Fiery running?...Si

I have checked with firmware vers.40, 50 and 60.
The fiery runs with 2.0

This problem c-4850 also appears without Fiery.

this is a very early pdf but has a few entries relating to 4850






i am aware that the firmware you are running is way past these just for your information more than anything else

Hallo,

i have solved this problem.

The engine has self change the HDD to "faulty part isolation" with software-switch 18 bit 7 to 1.

After HDD-aktivation with SW-switch 2-0 to 1 and 18-7 to 0 appears error C-D0E1.

I replaced the HDD/K and i carry out "Replacement of the Hardisk" from service-manual and that was fine.

Solution
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Firmware update required.
Please update to firmware version 40 or greater. The latest version of firmware, system software or print drivers is available via the Konica Minolta Download
Selector. Access the Selector from SSD Web Support (CS Expert Support) by clicking on 'Download MSDS, Drivers, Firmware and more'.
Note : If the problem occurs while using the SD-501, install mimimum version 30-GCD for the Saddle Stitcher. A C-4840 (C4840) code may also be
indicated.
2. The Overall Control Board has failed.
Replace the OACB (p/n A03UH0105A).
IMPORTANT : Firmware should be updated to version 40 before replacement of the OACB.
3. Incorrect initial settings. Perform the following:
a. Depress "Utility"
b. Select "User setting"
c. Select "Initial setting"
d. Select "Copy Initial Setting"
e. Select "ADF" or select "1 -> 1" on initial copy mode
f. Press "OK"
Note :This is a firmware bug that will be corrected a future release of firmware (above version 41).

Solution
CAUSE: If a modem is connected to the device and
no CSRC configuration has been done -ORa
RAM clear has been executed on the device.
SOLUTION: To correct:
Set the CSRC configuration and perform an initial connection of the device -ORdisconnect
the modem from the device properly if no CSRC connection is needed.
