“I have confirmed that neither the President nor the Vice President were ever briefed on any intelligence alleged by the New York Times in its reporting yesterday,” Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said in a statement released just before midnight on Saturday. “The White House statement addressing this issue earlier today, which denied such a briefing occurred, was accurate. The New York Times reporting, and all other subsequent news reports about such an alleged briefing are inaccurate.”

Richard Grenell (who was acting DNI at the time) said, "I never heard this. And it’s disgusting how you continue to politicize intelligence. You clearly don’t understand how raw intel gets verified. the CIA Director, National Security Advisor, and the Chief of Staff can all confirm that neither the President nor the Vice President were briefed to the inaccuracy of the New York Times story erroneously suggesting that President Trump was briefedJohn Ratcliffe, who was just recently installed in the top intelligence post by Trump, issued a statement backing the White House but did not comment on the substance of the intelligence reported by the Times.

because there were NATO FORCES INVOLVED. Our government has certain protocols ( you said one time you served in the military?, so YOU should know that FACT!)

there is a military dept called U.S. Dept of Defense ( DOD ) under them are the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

These leaders would receive such info... validate it...and THEN pass it on. To their superiors.

It's got it's own little title... you may of heard of it : " Chain Of Command "

Trump was briefed on Russian bounties earlier than thought, reports say

President Donald Trump received a written briefing in February about intelligence regarding potential bounties offered by Russians to Afghan militants to kill American service members, The New York Times reported.


The Associated Press, citing officials with direct knowledge of the matter, also reported that the White House was aware of the matter much earlier, in early 2019
