A new Washington Post story about the difficulties American farmers are facing under President Donald Trump’s trade war reveals that some farmers have had to significantly reduce their food consumption to make up for plummeting incomes.


The story describes the struggles faced by Andy and Anne Lee, two dairy farmers who live in upstate New York who received a federal bailout check of $4,100 this year but who nevertheless recently applied for food stamps because they were still having trouble putting food on their table.


However, Lee so far has been unable to get her family’s SNAP benefits approved despite the fact that her net farm income was -$12,979 last year. After getting turned down in her initial request for food stamps, Lee went to her local food pantry to pick up necessary groceries.

Murkowski, who remains a wild card in a potential Senate trial, has been tight-lipped on the effort. However, she shared her concerns with McConnell's recent comments in an interview with KTUU in Anchorage, Alaska.
"When I heard that, I was disturbed," she said.

Has Trump Spent '278.5 Years' of Salary on Taxpayer-Funded Golf Outings?

Snopes rates this claim as a "mixture" stating that no one has ever known "exact numbers" (aside from pres. salary). Estimates have been based off of some figures from the beginning of his term, and guesses as to "what's included in the expenses". For example, Security is "Round the Clock" regardless of golf outing, business meeting or just going for a walk, so should that really be thrown in their? And I'm guessing that since Trump owns the courses he frequents, he's not being charged some outrageous amount to play there (the report includes "green fees"/ clubhouse costs/ etc.). They bitch that the "secret service pays for rooms and food" and such at his hotels and clubs (included in the "total cost"), but they would be spending that same money on hotels and food (which I assume is per diem) even if it were just a speaking event in Michigan, or a Business meeting in another country, or a campaign rally in Iowa. What do you expect them to do?? Go down the road to the fuckin Super 8 motel? C'mon, Get real!

Presidents are entitled to their vacation time just like you and I. Just because obama decided to stay at military bases mostly, does not mean Trump has to. This story has been way overblown, and just shows that the left will Cling to Anything they think will paint the President in a "bad light". For comparison, Obama's travel expenses were $114 million - That would be 285 years of presidential salary, BUT the media doesn't say anything about that. Those were just his "travel expenses", that's not the total of his taxpayer funded spending. So the double standard continues, and it's all out of a hate for our President.
