Biden should start with cutting off any government assistance to anyone that isn't vaccinated. No food stamps. No welfare. No government housing, ect.

It looks like Biden has failed on 2 fronts:

                    1. He can't convince enough blacks to get vaccinated.

                    and

                    2. He hasn't swayed enough republicans to get vaccinated.

Personally, who cares if they get vaccinated? The only people they're gonna hurt is themselves. Why should I care? It's their choice.

I will say this to all of my republican friends and blacks that refuse the vaccine....

Do you have enough money to cover your medical bills should you come down with covid? If not, are you prepared to refuse medical coverage if you can't afford it? It's not fair to refuse the vaccine then run up a huge hospital bill.

CDC - No more masks ever for the vaccinated.

We (most of us) live in the USA where we have the best the world has to offer. Yet, I'm always surprised at just how inept our government is in times of disaster. Our intelligence agencies missed all the warning signs before 911 and there were many.

The eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my house. While the response was far better in Mississippi, New Orleans was a total failure.

That leads me to Dr. Fauci. When the pandemic hit, he said that masks don't work. He later said that he was lying when he said that and then said that masks do work. He had plenty of time (his entire adult life) to prepare the playbook for a pandemic. He should not have been going back and forth on masks and he damn sure shouldn't be telling any lies for any reason. That's how folks lose faith in him.

Anyway, it was said many times that masks and social distancing would become the new normal. Thank God that was wrong, wrong, wrong.

CDC says schools should open in fall, recommends masks for unvaccinated
The CDC said schools returning to in-person learning is a priority

The agency also recommended that schools maintain at least 3 feet of physical distance between students within classrooms to reduce transmission risk.

"When it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least 3 feet, such as when schools cannot fully re-open while maintaining these distances, it is especially important to layer multiple other prevention strategies, such as indoor masking," the agency advised, adding that students should not be excluded "from in-person learning to keep a minimum distance requirement."

The guidance, intended for K-12 schools, also noted that "promoting vaccination" can help facilitate that districts "safely return to in-person learning as well as extracurricular activities and sports."

AMERICANS ‘DO NOT NEED’ A BOOSTER SHOT, CDC, FDA SAY

The CDC also stated that those who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, including while participating in extracurricular activities or while eating. However, it noted that based on the needs of the community, a school may opt to make mask use universally required regardless of vaccination status.

Exceptions should be made for people who cannot wear masks because of a disability, or those for whom wearing a mask may create a workplace safety risk.

"CDC continues to recommend masking and physical distancing as key prevention strategies," the agency stated. "However, if school administrators decide to remove any of the prevention strategies for their school based on local conditions, they should remove them one at a time and monitor closely (with adequate testing through the school and/or community) for any increases in COVID-19 cases."

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus

Dr. Anthony Fauci wrote in February 2020 that store-bought face masks would not be very effective at protecting against the COVID-19 pandemic and advised a traveler not to wear one.

The Washington Post and BuzzFeed News have obtained hundreds of pages of Fauci's emails through the Freedom of Information Act, revealing more about the early days of the pandemic.

In one message, Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, replies to an email from Sylvia Burwell, believed to be the Sylvia Burwell who was health and human services secretary for three years under President Barack Obama. Burwell had asked for advice about wearing face masks while traveling. Fauci's reply is dated February 5, 2020, and is available in a document cloud provided by Buzzfeed.

Fauci wrote: "Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection.

"The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you."

He added: "I do not recommend that you wear a mask, particularly since you are going to a very low risk location."

Fauci has previously been criticized for changing his position on masks. Early on in the pandemic, he advised against wearing face coverings, but that advice evolved over time.

On March 8, 2020, Fauci said "there's no reason to be walking around with a mask," according to Reuters—but this was before the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidance on masks on April 3.

The CDC recommended that people wear face coverings "in public settings when around people outside their household, especially when social distancing measures are difficult to maintain."

The changes were made as more information about COVID-19 became available during the pandemic. Fauci has since encouraged mask-wearing in line with the CDC advice. He told NBC News on January 25 that wearing two masks was "common sense."

"So, if you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on, it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective," he said. "That's the reason why you see people either double masking or doing a version of an N95 [respirator]."

The CDC guidelines were recently updated to say that fully vaccinated people could go without masks in most indoor and outdoor situations, but Fauci has warned that this does not mean everyone can take off their masks yet.

"It is not a mandate to take your mask off," Fauci told the Pod Save America podcast on May 18.
