Simularly it is why I pay $3.95CAD or $2.75USD for a dozen eggs right now. We have avian flu outbreaks, but our farms are small to medium operations, so when we cull a flock, it is not nearly the loss from the massive industrial farms in the US. To my knowledge America has not gone over the quota so the threshold has not been met to charge the tariff. I compared Canada's population to the population of California, but if you want to talk freedom, Canada is currently 5th, Norway 4th, New Zealand 3rd, Sweeden 2nd, and Finland 1st. I do agree. We didn't meet our commitment to fund the military at the agreed upon 2% of GDP. i'm not sure how Canada could lie about it. It's been in the news here for years. And I agree, two wrongs do not make a right.

You're the second Canadian to quote that website. Interesting thing about it. the one thing that put the US as low as it is on their scale in the enormous size of government bureaucracy. President Trump is in the process of correcting that.

As for t he price of eggs, that is declining here now rapidly as new laying hens come into maturity ad start laying. In addition steps are being take to protect flocks from exposure to wild birds. Also many are abandoning open range ranching and going back to enclosed chicken barns where there is zero exposure to wild birds. I am seeing egg prices 40% to 50% less now than they were back in December.

Oh by the way, how much are you paying for milk and other dairy products including cheese? You know if it wasn't for a Canadian tariff of somewhere between 200% and 300% you would most likely be able to get them from the US for a lot less. It would appear that Canadian tariffs are hurting the Canadian people.
