    Shocking!!

Once shorted myself out on a Roneo duplicating machine. Lent over the machine, no covers on, and tie pin shorted across a bank of fuses. Gave up wearing a tie after that.

      Yes, since 2000.

This job reminds me of a quote from Einstein I've read a long while ago:

"Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but nobody knows why. We have put together theory and practice: there's nothing that is working... and nobody knows why!"

      Who's with me?

I guess every techie gets a similar line - mine is (when almost at closing time and the machine half-disassembled) "should we get you a bed for tonight?"

"Oh look, he has the diaper out----it must be a big job to have the diaper out."

Or, "Uh, oh, it's broke again. I thought it was supposed to be a good machine."

#1- I have yet to see a baby wearing a damn drop cloth as a diaper, so that's just a stupid-ass comment. When they bring one of their babies wearing one of my drop cloths, I'll retract what I've been thinking.

#2- Well, I DID NOT BREAK IT!!!! I guess I can go and bust some windshields and complain that their car is a piece of crap.

                              1st answer. I'm a technician.
I am an owner and service manager. We mainly sell copiers, printers, duplicators and plotters (including supplies) wholesale and either ship or sometimes on large orders deliver (to end users and dealerships.

I voted for tech, even if I'm not really one... I can do basic stuff, but I'm usually the guy who has to make the sales guys ridiculous promises work out in the connectivity/networking department, 4 years of experience (plus countless private years) and counting
