If you're interested in news about new Canon equipment, take a look at the "Industry News" topic. There are almost five pages (as of 10 Mar 16, 6:50 PM Central U.S. time anyway) of links to new Canon stories.

I do think Canon's PR department was working overtime!
And maybe, RSS Robot can filter out camera equipment, and stick with copiers/printers; no offense to you photographers.

Turns out you can sometimes fix a garbage disposal with an Allen wrench.
My disposal is kind of old, and when it stopped working last year I figured it had a pretty good run. But today while I was fixing an outlet I took another look. Turns out the impeller had froze up, and after working it free with a quarter inch Allen wrench it started operating again.

That sounds better than the garbage disposal I had to deal with!

When mine quit working (was the wall switch) I found out the initial installer had made it so the neutral wire was switched instead of the hot wire!...BAD!....so initially, the disposal had a hot wire passing thru it and was LIVE *all* of the time, even when the wall switch was *off*!...put a new switch in and wired it correctly!...haven't had any problems since!

Only 'Y'-Gen could ponder that. Y-gen will eventually realise they can't make a baby via SMS messaging.

... no doubt they will SMS why not.

                          You haven't tried everything until...

Last Thursday night, as I was just going to sleep, my daughter stuck her head in my room and said "We got no water!" Sure enough the taps were dry. I went to my pump house, no pressure the motor is locked up, humming and hot as hell. Shit! I went back to bed, got up next morning and checked again. When I plugged it in, it just hummed, all locked up. I went to work, did my calls, got off a few hours early. Stopped bt a Tractor Supply, priced a new pump, then tried a couple of other places. Got to the house, went to take photos so I would get all the fittings I needed and when I was getting ready to go get the new pump, a voice in my head said "HIT IT!" I thought , why not? I plugged it in, it hummed. I picked up a brick and smacked the shit out of it and it kicked on and started running. I guess you haven't tried everything until you have smacked it.

Brings back memories of my youth driving tired old British sports cars, it was a regular part of a days driving to give the SU fuel pump a smack with a hammer before you went anywhere. MG even provided a a tool to do the job, It was a copper faced hammer that was supposed to be used to remove the spoke wheel winged nuts but got more use persuading the fuel pump to do its job.

I had an older Morris Minor with the 950ml MG engine that needed a little persuasion at times; but, when the clutch cable broke, I was able to double-clutch it home for repairs.
