Malware Bytes has not prompted about any. Some download sites are loaded with rider PUPs, like cnet.com and download.com.

Kudos to Anerisum. ( I hope I don't have to retract this).
I always get redirected every time I load CTN. There is a very rare few times that I don't get redirected.
It doesn't matter if it's my workshop lap top PC or my bed side Android Tablet, it's nearly always redirected.
I loath the @sshole who has "root accessed" my Andriod O/S system overlayed half of my Android touch screen with a hidden advert click. It takes up half the f@#!en screen. I cannot get rid of it by resetting the operating system, which means I have to get a new Tablet along with a new DSL modem after the old modem had it's firmware root hacked.
I would love to shove the Russian Crypto an Israel/CIA stuxnet malware up someones @ss

        Blessings in disguise:
I now run two completely separate computer systems. One system has no internet access at all. I have disabled all Ethernet and wifi access so I know it can never operate on internet or local networks, even if I wanted to. I would have to replace the PC mother boards before the Ethernet can work on those systems.
So, in a round about way, the malware drop kicks have done me a favour.

How to tell your O/S is hacked. The same operating system without internet access runs like thunder. It takes 1/3 the time to get your work load done. 1/3 the eye strain , 1/3 the back stress from sitting down in one place. Off internet systems don't require malware antiviruse ware or (the scourge of the internet) dreaded return to base privacy reading updates.

Kind of the reason I've still got revenge mode. See if you can find some way to kill javascript except for what you choose to give permission to. When I was using Firefox, the extension "NoScript" seemed to work well.

Yeah, and the "Newest Members" part of the top ten stats section is filled with new people. That is weird. Sign of the times I guess.

The real question is whether any of those newest members are actually humans, or if they are SEO's or spammers. My personal guess would be one actual human member to ten SEO's. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                RE: SEO's
With the advent of OCR login scripts the SEO bots don't have a very good optimisation process.
IMHO, I believe that is the main reason Google starting paying people money to join as many online groups an chat clubs as they can. The reason for that being the Google search engine bots would have a valid persona to gain entry into a network system an therefore it would not be blocked my System Operator caveate/polices.
I simple method to circumvent persona impersonation is to enforce change of network entry password every 3 months. The google employed puppets would require a massive data base to change every few months plus maintain the history of all previous passwords. That would keep the kids busy.....
