      D'oh.

This is going to take a while.
I suppose that's just something that should be expected when moving into a house that was built in the late 1800s though.

        Huh, aab1 is back:

That's odd, back in the day they wanted to delete their CTN account. And I reminded them about that.

Does not seem like his attitude will change.

I read through the thread and it seems to me that the only ones who weren't rude were subaro and aab1. I realise he has had issues in the past, but in this post he seemed ok.

And therein lies the problem: aab1's issues have been exactly the same since before I joined CTN. So you can see why some of us have no patience with that anymore.

I don't come on here to judge people, just to try to help them. If someone has a personal problem with someone else, just don't read or respond to their posts. Easy.

Just wait until you have tried to help aab1 a few times and see the attitude you get from him.

I'm not defending aab1's past displays of disrespect. I'm saying, if he has a problem I can help with, I will try to help, if he turns into a jerk I will just ignore the post. I have enough stress in my real life, I don't need that being added to by someone deliberately being an idiot online.

I've just been emailing our HP supplier to arrange the return of a printer that was DOA. Just had a email back saying yes, they would collect it from our warehouse as long as we had a "port cliff" as it weighs 60 kg.
Ho Hum, its going to be one of those days.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

As I was probably in the Reserves for some time while also being a full time tech, I found this interesting:

                                How to curse without cursing

Using the standard military way to add a sense of urgency or dismay while working on a machine in a church is unproductive.
