Re: The random thought thread
Ever since I moved to this place, I've looked at the window on the north side of the basement and wondered what's there, even though it could only show the view of what's under my front porch.
I finally got around to opening that window, and this is what I found:

D'oh.
This is going to take a while.
I suppose that's just something that should be expected when moving into a house that was built in the late 1800s though.

Re: The random thought thread
I don't come on here to judge people, just to try to help them. If someone has a personal problem with someone else, just don't read or respond to their posts. Easy.Comment

Just wait until you have tried to help aab1 a few times and see the attitude you get from him.Comment

Re: The random thought thread
I'm not defending aab1's past displays of disrespect. I'm saying, if he has a problem I can help with, I will try to help, if he turns into a jerk I will just ignore the post. I have enough stress in my real life, I don't need that being added to by someone deliberately being an idiot online.Comment

Re: The random thought thread
I've just been emailing our HP supplier to arrange the return of a printer that was DOA. Just had a email back saying yes, they would collect it from our warehouse as long as we had a "port cliff" as it weighs 60 kg.
Ho Hum, its going to be one of those days.At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.Comment

As I was probably in the Reserves for some time while also being a full time tech, I found this interesting:
