Can you lose your drivers license for drink riding in a driverless vehicle?
If so, that means you can lose your drivers license for riding in a cab, bus, train.

An if a person loses their drivers license for drink riding are they allowed to get back in the vehicle an ride to work ????

If a person is not in physical control of the autonomous vehicle than the manufacture is in control of the vehicle , not the passengers. The manufacture should be held liable for any damage the vehicle has caused.

If I place my children in the vehicle and program the vehicle to take them to school , who is liable for any vehicle or 3rd party damage ?

I can't remember if it was Uber or Lyft but one of them cancelled proposed autonomous cab tests in California because California said that they had to have a licensed driver in the vehicle.

Uber, they ended up in Nevada or Arizona.

I can't remember if it was Uber or Lyft but one of them cancelled proposed autonomous cab tests in California because California said that they had to have a licensed driver in the vehicle.

We have Uber cabs here at our location now, no autonomous vehicles as yet. They started the cheaps fair cab company about 18months ago...

We also have a company setting up Pizza and Beer Drone Aircraft deliveries. The air traffic control regulations are still being sorted.
The company is using our location as one of the test bench field locations. If they can't get the air regulations settled, the company said they will move the entire service over seas.

Many states do require that a licensed driver be seated in what would otherwise be considered the "driver's" seat.

I liked the TV series Andromeda, even if the amount of drama was sometimes larger than I cared for.
Deus ex machina is OK when used cleverly though.
