Analog Minolta 4230. Nightmare when it came time to clean or repair clutches, which was often in this machine. clutches were between the rear main frame and a sub-frame metal plate.

The Mita 213, you gotta love the scanner clutch pack. Also the Ricoh ft 6085 and all of it's spawn, the inverter gate adjustment was an art not science.

I changed a few of those DC-213 scanner clutch springs. Typically I had to take it apart a second time to get everything back in place just right.

Now the DC-111 & DC1205 clutch packs: I had that down to a science. One hour to rebuild, worked right the first time, every time.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Any old Pitney Bowes junk

How about any of the old Pitney Bowes models before they went to Ricoh. Even the old Ricoh oil pumpers!

Sharps, most all I work on...

Anything that takes SF-216 supplies, struts on these things aways going bad, just locked vise-grips to the rod to keep it open.
The old SF-7700 bunch, and the old SF 7800 group of copiers.
The newer AR bunch, the AR 200, pain in the rear to work on, back has to come off to work on it for most anything, and way too much plastic, fuser unit mounts into a plastic frame, this is a unit that heats to 190 deg C, and mount into plastic, yepp,,,real good idea, LSU a pain. and feed rollers, take out all supplies and turn on side.
Somebody else said if not for some of this we would not have jobs, wrong, as my SM says, "You cant fix stupidity."

Registration front to back is terrible. Service plan through CBS out of Connecticut was the worst. I strongly advise not using CBS for your service company. They took 2 weeks to show up for service calls. ordered wrong parts, sent the wrong toner...ect.

I'll second rambos vote for the 3100 but ya gotta love the 6800 series if you are under the BEI system and know what to look for.

These were brutal, sounds like you worked on them too. Any powder machine was heaven compared to them. I remember rebuilding the pumps after cleaning them in a parts washer. Talk about going thru hand cleaner.

The Savin LTT machines were tanks. We had about 1000 7350s out in a school system. We did one PM a year, pulled out a paper jam once in a while and they just flat ran. Rubber gloves and diapers were part of our tool kit. I still use them. The kids I work for now think that's funny, but they didn't have to deal with those.

Actually, I've worked on almost all of the dogs listed here. My vote goes to the Savin 300 roll plain paper copier. No other machine had the frame replaced by the factory. This turkey had retrofits for the retrofits. There were hand wired machines, printed circuit machines, but none of them would tone up properly, none had a fusing unit that would work for more than a week and none would advance the OPC belt properly. We had 39 of these out at one time. We needed three techs to keep them running.

Second place goes to the Apeco Super Ultra Stat. We used to stand in the showroom window and watch the poor suckers who sold that pig go out from the branch across the street and laugh. It took an average of 45 minutes to remove a paper jam from the squeegee rollers.

Third place is the infamous Savin 840 electric footstool. They leaked, squeaked, and streaked. One of my service managers went to Wal Mart and bought jelly roll pans to put under all the ones they had out to contain the leakage.

Fourth place is the Ricoh 5560. This thing was so bad Ricoh offered to buy them all back.
