Here's what I use currently, and it's great!

One of our techs has this and likes it as well, just doesn't have the laptop compartment for my liking

For those of us on this side of the pond, these are worth a look:

A few of us at work have them.. they're not too big, or small and are a good price.
Removable inner compartment to hold and organise tools. Padded back and straps for comfort with rigid waterproof base to protect against dirt and moisture. Dual zipper opening enables complete access to all contents. Made of 600 denier fabric for durability and weather resistance.(H) 450mm x (W) 300mm...

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

You mean to tell me I can carry a level with me? So I can level a customer who says "our old machine didn't do that!"

So, it's not just my customers that have said that same thing for the last ~35 years..

Judging by our customers considered experience then.. machines must have been absolutely flipping brilliant 10+ generations ago... 😀

It's a pity Mother Nature hasn't upgraded the end users as much as the manufacturers have their MFP's.... 😁

I have used one for probably 30+ years. Back in the early day of plain paper copiers I was working on a desktop Sharp where the complaint was uneven image density from side to side. After adjusting it as best as I could get, I sat down to write the call report and looking at the Sharp I noticed that it didn't look level. Not having a level with me, I grabbed my new roll of electrical tape and set it on the glass. It rolled off the front. I shimmed the front feet and the problem was solved.

Since then I have kept a bulls eye level in my tool kit.

under it containing my toner vac and other tools

Copiers don't REALLY require much in tools but I like to have the right tool for the right job..also I work on postage/mailing equipment and just about everything under the sun.
The bag is nice and all, but the 'pockets' for the tools are not just the right size sometimes..I miss my old craftsman sit and tote hardcase with all the drawers for the tool but it's long out of production.

It's interesting, the latest Epson series, AM-C4000/5000/6000 have a sensor in there to detect if it's level or not. They just came out with a monochrome 55ppm in the same series that does NOT have the leveling sensor, and they suggest utilizing one of those to check leveling. I don't think we'll ever purchase, let alone sell one, but might need to get one of those for that purpose.

I used to carry a hardshell Platt case and a toner vac into every copier call before I had gray hair.
