    Help!! iR C3080 Machine

PG Test 10 is working perfectly fine.

But both Glass and Feeder Scan is not, there is a straight light output.

Anyone have encountered this kind of problem in iR C3080 machines?

    Thanks in Advance!!!

Why you change a board for a copy quality issue!?

I assume that is a copy of the PG10?

I would first clean or replace the CCD.

Hi, i forgot to include the replacement of CCD. We first tried to replace the lamp, but no avail, same outcome, so we decided to replace the board, but still no avail.

That indicates that you have some sort of dirty or obstructed optics. Either dirty CCD lens or mirrors, or some obstruction like a bent optical reflector. CCD's use RGB additive color, so either something is partially blocking the light path to the blue CCD array or the color of the dirt (mustard yellow) masks the blue light arriving at the blue CCD array.

My guess is that you've got a bent reflector, a piece of insulating foam, or just something that shouldn't be there obstructing the light path to the blue CCD array. A good example is a customer of mine who copies thick books. They press down hard enough on the glass to warp the glass into the scanner path, bent the light source #1 reflector, and for them, throw the scanner cable. Three times they threw the rear scanner cable! It's on a Toshiba, but it illustrates the point.

The funny part is that they continued to deny that they copy books, even when I handed them images from the trash that have that nice black outer margins, and you can see the edge of the pages. It's just stupid to continue lying when the evidence is right in front of you. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Poster has replaced the CCD & there are no reflectors or mirrors in the C3080 scanner!

Have you tried scanning that PG 10 either to folder or email? is the image still the same?

Just looking at it, looks like the Cyan unit is bad, maybe), looking at the other colors, they look fine, black, magenta, yellow look good, just the cyan has a small line on top and then the lines more in middle, but just the cyan. Have seen weird copies when just scanning/copying, the lens had some cleaner that had hardened and causing the images come out with strange colored lines, eventually we had to change the lens, took care of problem. Good Luck.

                    Hi ,

Check your Ribbon connector from the CIS to the Reader controller.....if you haven't already, had a similar issues, except the feint bands were much narrower..

                    Good luck.....

After taking a second look, yes its on all colors, also see the printouts under that one which is black, also on those, on top as well as in the middle. Optical problem.

No update yet with this kind of issue.

We already replaced the machine for the meantime, and this machine is under obrservation here in our office.

I will update as soon as possible.
