This error may occur when the imagePASS C1 is upgraded to the latest version system software Or is (ex. 2.1 or 2.1.2) and the imageRUNNER is still at an older version of system software (ex. 11.03)

Try upgrading the copier to the latest version system software

Which is Teckat's point about the firmware.
***The firmware on the iR3200 must be at least v55.04 or Later for the C1 V2.0 to Function Properly.

What's the version on the C1 that works????

Ok, I guess this is why there is a problem,

my older machine works perfectly with the its C1 and prints perfect. However because the impressions been racking up I got a machine off lease with only 38K.

Machine that works fine with the 500K copies on it has DC CON 33.02 and C1 has Version 2.1


The new machine with 39K shows DC CON 08.02 and R CON 03.01 the C1 has no HDD.. it also has a connection for a usb cable, im guessing thats how they used it

Looks like I have no choice but to get service to get the software updated on both machines.

Sooo, you want to use the C1 on the machine that has 38K. Did you change the IMG-CONT setting .
It can be found in Service Mode under COPIER > OPTION > INT-FACE > IMG-CONT.

1)Or did you do this yet on the machine that has 38k?



So there are two C1's in the picture.... For what ever reason they took the HDD, who cares. If the C1 that has no HDD is the same device as the one that you have that works, it should work on the machine.

2)What's the version on the C1 that works???

3)Have you Printed out that P-print from that new machine you have?

4)Did you check the firmware version and bootrom??

A USB Connection is only on a imagePass C2

u have these imagePass units mixed up /

So the Newer C2 Unit w/usb has no HDD ??? Sell it on E BAY/ or buy an HDD - Get C2 v2.1.1 software > and load it on it -- that is the better imagePass

See below=u can not have an imagePass C1-C2 connected to a 3200/3220, that has a USB Interface Board-A1 in it !!!

The USB Interface Board can be used only if the optional Color Network Multi-PDL Printer Kit is installed
, or if the Super G3 FAX Board and Resolution Switching Board are
installed.
• The USB Interface Board cannot be used with the optional imagePASS.
• The USB Interface Board does not support memory devices, keyboards, a mouse, or
other external devices.
• Either the USB Interface Board or Token Ring Network Interface Adapter can be installed
in this machine.They cannot be installed together.

• imagePASS cannot be used with the optional Color USB Interface Board.

My new machine with the 30+k is running great, networked updated perfect. Im using older machine for copies. when i make copies with it if I use 32# laser paper and dont use the heavy paper mode, toner flakes off one side of copies, guess I have to use heavy paper mode on anything over 60Lb.

Flaking... Could be the paper but toner/developer could aslo flake when a high density copy is being made. What kind of stuff do you do. Scan a document of something. Gald you got things all settled.

Also>make sure your not using ink-jet paper
inspect your heat rollers/ these fuser units are crap

how much saturation are u using/

3200 ethernet board

im trying to network one of my irc 3200 but when the C1 starts up, and i hit the installation button it says ethernet board not configured, anyone know what i can do?
