Set Black as the Default Color

Answer :

Press the Auto Color Select Button on control panel:

1. Select Black

2. Select the Additional Function Button

3. Select The Copy Settings Button and go to the Second Screen

4. Press the Standard Settings Button

5. Select Store ( A message will come up asking you if you wish to store this setting.)

6. Select "Yes" Store in Memory

7. Press the Done Button

8. Press the Done Button again in order to go out of the Additional Function Screen

If u need a 40gb-HDD for this model that is not an OEM from Canon,
u have to search the internet {google} for them . most will be used/refurbished.

Knowledge and the will to learn is the first step , I can send u some information on the 3200, it is best to read and understand the workings of this printer.

You can start testing this 3200 HDD,
Have printer powered off
1.Hold down the 1 & 9 key, while still holding> down power up 3200
2.wait until u see the screen go into the download mode
3. u will see white blocks dropping on screen/ let go of the 1&9 key
4. wait about 30min. & see if it will complete this Defrag of the Hard Drive,
5. U may get lucky and have this fix your 602 issue.
6. If machine goes back to a 602 error code, u will have to buy or get a HDD somewhere.

Then you are at the point you need the replacement hard drive, service support tool, and system software for the copier. Replace the hard drive with the proper one, use service support tool to format the hard drive and then use service support tool to load the system software onto the hard drive...

I have the same issue many others have here.
I performed an 1 & 9 HDD scan on an IRC3200 that had issue with saving addresses.
After the scan, the unit totally broke down with E602-0001.

Can someone be kind enough to send me/tell me where I can download SST and firmware image?

E602-0001
is not always a death sentence>
remove & re-seat BOOT Rom
check/remove/clean ends/re-seat RAM
could be a faulty Power supply
check HDD ribbon cable & HDD power cable


Try and get in service mode when progress bar is halfway/
go into the ERROR log and view if u have any other Error codes listed. Take Note of them.

Sometimes if u see any E 700 codes in there- u may need to address those first,
if addressed- it jump start your printer.

That HDD will have to be formated and wiped clean/of all it's HP information

U then need the SST / AND to load 3200 firmware in SST program.
then u put in the HDD in 3200/ then u need to use the 3200 firmware format file to format again.
then u will be able to load the 3200 firmware on it.

if all goes well-u may get lucky and have a copier
