iR 3025 Fixing Assembly Not Lightng Up

    Hi Guys,

Well, actually somewhere last year I have posted this topic and have tried the method as you kind guys advice but is still the same. As we rushing for another project I have push the machine at a corner. Until recently tried to set up back again this machine but the effort were of no avail. Hope u guys can feed some information on this topic.

Parts that have swap/exchange : DC Contoller P.C.B, Main Controller P.C.B, AC Driver, Hard Disk, Heater assembly, Composite Power Supply, have check all the wiring seem ok. Any other possibility that makes the heater unit assembly does not light (printer keep warm up)

Do you get an error code for the fuser? Or is it just stuck in "Please wait..." screen? Might not be a fuser issue.
When you swapped the HD was it with another ir3025?

BTW, those fusers don't have a halogen light, so you won't be able to see it light up.

      Does seem odd...
The heater gets it's signals directly from the DC controller...for example...if you have a heater error code you can usually reset it...until you touch the control panel then it will trip the error.
I've replaced dc controllers in the past for fuser errors in these machines but you say a new one has been fitted...we REALLY need any error codes as if the machine isn't heating up as you say...there'll definitely be an error code as it has to reach a certain temperature by a certain time.
OH...and I've had brand new heaters blow recently so you may need to try another heater...if it's been damaged you'll see a BIG crack in it's brown surface.

        Hi DLP

Just clarify with you is there a issue that if I swap the hdd from another machine ? Or the best way to try out format the hdd and re-install the firmware ? Any way I swap the HDD from another working condition machine. The funny part was I waited for 1/2 hour the machine seem did not appear any error code. When touching the heater assembly the surface was cold. So I assume that that was the problem.

        Any ideas...????

check to see if the Finisher Trays are locked up/ unplug all connectors on Finisher pcb/ re start with out finisher/ see if printer warm up goes away/ if it does/ unplug/ plug Finisher connectors back in/ re start

Yes definitely disconnect the finisher or any other options. You say you swapped Main Controller....did you transfer all RAM(SDRAM,SRAM) from original Main Controller? If so suspect the RAM....clear the Dcon,Main Con,Reader and MMI in service mode.
