IR 5000 Light copies when RDF is used

Hello, I have a 5000 that when the customer uses the rdf the rear of the copies have light streaks thru the page. Of the glass, copies r fine, just when rdf is used. From the samples I have seen it seems like its just the back side but can't confirm yet. Any suggestions would be super.

I think is the little glass on the left side of the big one.

Maybe check the doc feed height. If the rear hinge is bent/loose/too high it can let a little light. Bend down so the glass is eye level and close the ADF, it should have an even gap looking from the front or side.

Have you cleaned the DADF slit glass to the left of the full sized platen glass? That is what your symptoms sound like to me...

I had a similiar situation-ir 5050. df bline was set to 1-No cleaning made a difference. Ribbon cable on the rcon was askew. reseated and ran adjustments.

the issue is only on one side/ it probably is a hinge issue or like mrfixit51 stated /cln DADF slit glass

ensure the slit glass is free of debris and the height of the feeder is correct

Copier>Option>User>SPECK-DP to "1" will notify the user to clean the glass when dust is detected on the slit glass.
