that may be the code you get when you try to copy money.
Or Bearer Bonds, got a weed warehouse that has a C654E with this code. I figure if you can get the HDD shut down which the machine wont let you (All Clear in Initialization) may do it then do a logical on the SSD may knock out the code. If not a used SSD will fix it..... I hope.
Kon/Min did this so when end user tries to copy money, stock certs, etc it ends up costing the end user money by having to pay Kon/Min to reset. I've always said if I only had the right type of paper I could be a rich "copyman"....
Seriously, try to initialize machine in service mode and like other posting said do a logical format on HDD.

Its not stored in the HDD or SSD, we know that now. Hytec says they have never been able to recover one with this code which isnt a good sign. I was hoping that someone on here had this happen and had to have KM fix it but the question remains what did they do to rectify the issue? Send in the MFP and PRCB maybe or the SSD and MFP? Question what exactly does the ERP board do?
dont these machines still have banknote recognition units?
anyway, the whole machine can be bought for 1500 bucks, not even worth replacing boards tracking down a booboo.
plus you get a spare machine for other parts.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...

In Germany you have a great chance to have police knocking on your door because konica is legally oblied to inform authorities. And yes, we had a customer that fcked around a lot and found out a lot.

Yep they still have a BNR of some sort, after thinking about this last night I begin to wonder if Hytec knows how this works and cant say due to legalities? Thats why I asked about the what the ERP boards function is as that was specifically mentioned as a possible place for this code to reside. Unfortunately the machine is under contract and of course the customer said know one had tried to copy currency or anything else that would trip the BNR. I wonder if a major MFP/SSD/NVRAM type freak out could cause this or is the only way to trip it is to try to copy money multiple times till the pig locks up? If anyone has a tech support number they could offer I know KM wont deal with me but they may answer a question or 2 if I can actually get them on the phone, LMK.

Thanks for the info Mark, looks like they may come to their senses and just upgrade the pig as its in lease renewal currently. I still want to know how many chances the machines give you before they lock up, I'm going to take the next late model trade-in and run a test to try and find out. Inquiring minds want to know.
