Do a print head skew reset then power cycle, this usually gets rid of color reg problems that are not caused by IU/ITB problems. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.
open the right door and remove the belt. the two sensors are located on the black plate just under where the belt sits. move the shutter and blow air in them
This thing is crazy. I go and run everything through that has been suggested and nothing seems to work.
i then do a color registration in utility mode and adjust cyan, then all looks ok. I leave and a week later reverts back to color registration off.

Amy other ideas?
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...
The C550 had further issues had all kinds of errors. Eventually I replaced the PSU board and all was well.... for about a year. Now I've got P31 again. This thing is driving me nuts. Have another tech coming by today hopefully we can check that K sensor disc as well as cleaning belt sensors.
But it's now telling me the right side door is open (which it isn't) and the paper transport behind that door is making a noise like it's trying to pickup a sheet of paper. Display is going nuts too, it alternatives between error and std screen like a flashing signal light. It's out of it's mind. Reset/initialization don't change anything.
It had the occasional (right door open) problem before. Then I put in a new yellow IU. After it cleaned/stabilized and got ready, door problem went nutso.
I have a spare C451 I can rob the PSU from however that one is working semi-ok but no finisher so for my big folded/stapled print jobs it's useless. Works ok for our product labels tho. If simple fixes don't work I guess I'm looking at another PSU board replacement.
