BH C3110 disable replace imaging unit message

    Hi all,

Is it possible to clear this message without replacing the IU chip or replacing the IU?

On the C35 there was a bulletin that with a FW upgrade showed how to extend the life of the IU's to 167% which worked great.

I have a C3110 that is printing perfectly but asking for the cyan IU to be replaced.
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

Its in service mode you can extend the yields as you said.

Its under "IU Yields Settings" change from Standard to Extension

This should give you 167 %

          Hi,

Where is the chip of the drum? I can't find it.
The drum lifetime is 25.000 and then hes stops with printing.
I was wonder if the chip can be removed and then can be printing further?

          Tanks.

I'm replying to my old post here, but this machine has the colour image units all showing 0% life remaining however its not showing a warning & is printing fine.

I found this setting in CE mode (see pic below) with this enabled will the machine NEVER ask for the IU to be replaced!?

Don't have many of the small bizhubs and always use the extend life feature but have never seen that screen in pic before. Haven't seen a 3110 but have a few C35's & C3100P's. Will check and see if I can find that setting on these models. Might be it's only on the newer C3110 and why I haven't seen it?

We have a bunch of these POS machines and I've never seen that setting. Wonder what the exact path to that setting is.

I totally agree such a POS model.

I updated the firmware & after was scrolling through the CE menu & found that option.

Also never see this option before.
Maybe FW version you put is the key, if you share that info?

But that is only for simultaneous replacement of all IUs, not the actual reminding of needing a new IU.

Ah yes! ok I should have read my own post!

Still not sure why all the image units show 0% remaining but no message.

Me neither and I'd like to know how to make that happen since the print/copy quality is usually still fine when IUs reach zero percent.

                              They're life extended that's why.
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
