    [CQ] BH951 Black

    Hi guys,

Have a BH951 with a little over 2m on it. I have just replaced the drum, developer, cleaning blades, charge coronas and grid. Right now they have 48k on them. The customer is saying that the black is not a real good black. I went out today and did the Auto Maximum Density Adj. and Auto Dot Diameter Adj. It improved it a little and they were sort of happy with it. But I see that the black is not black on the PCL test page. My question, I know that they will be calling and little down the road for the same thing. I am ordering a TCR sensor for the DV unit. Any thing else that I need to look at for this.

    Thanks
    KEN

you cleared the counters and ran all the adjustments i assume when you changed the parts, i think there is a bit sw to increase the density if you want to go that route?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

also dont waste your time on the tcr sensor they are either good or bad no in between. if you did not reset the counters an did not do all the steps after replacement then that is more likely the cause

Yes, when I did the drum and developer, I did do the package adjustment so all the counters were cleared.

        Thanks

I had a case where the only fix for the density was to set the TCR soft switch to +1% that fixed the problem permanently.
You have to be sure its not a transfer issue.
          Whatever

Have you checked the laser unit for dirt?

Which laser unit? This machine uses LED exposure. =^..^=

Yes I have cleaned the print head. Maybe the transfer roller?

                Thanks

Typically the transfer belt assy will last 5M ... but maybe. It will cause poor fill, but it's obvious that its a transfer issue. =^..^=
