reset tool useless if you dont have a small enough USB stick to even run firmware.

The tool is different for some models.

For example the C258, C308, C368 use the same tool or SATA recovery firmware.

Yes, there is nothing to do for the Base board. For the CPUB you have to run the reset tools, choose model and type, reboot, DO NOT LOAD THE FIRMWARE, and wait for it to ask to restore data.
