Will that paper in the image feed LEF?
On LEF it seems wider that the paper path...

After looking more closely at the posted pic, I see your point. That has got to be B4 size (like Blackcat had guessed), not A4. And looking at how long that sheet of paper is....you are correct, no way can it be fed LEF.

Some times honesty fixes the problem. Could be that the machine times out on a sensor or even firmware related, but probably not.
Who knows these things.

Picture he posted paper is A4-R(SEF), it also jams on A4(LEF). Тhat is my understanding.

I have to admit, I may be wrong. After second look paper on picture seems too long. I guess BC assessed/measured it correct.

I just looked down the list and found an ISO paper size just a little bigger than US Folio. And yes I thought too that at ~13" or 14" it could not possibly pass LEF through a C284e. =^..^=

There is a known issue with this series machine, with the duplex switchback gate solenoid. The cure (which I have not done in a couple of years), is to add a spacer (I've used the corner of an old credit card) and put it in between the solenoid plunger arm and the frame. Gives the solenoid less ability to open (which I assume has something to do with timing?) and keeps the gate open longer. I can't put my hands on the bulletin/info at the moment, but a buddy of mine originally found the problem and reported it to KM.
