    KM Feed rollers

    Hi All,

Is there anyone using an alternative feed/separate roller the common red one used in most KM devices?

    Thank you.

I cant see need for looking replacement when OEM work just fine and not expensive.
Just to mention, i notice old machines (420,501...) paper feed rollers lasts much longer then on newer series.

WE use rollers that we fit to the existing shafts, we remove old rubber and fit these, part no A00J563600, that we buy from a supplies company, they last about 200K, and can be fitted in either direction.

I second that, but the world is wide people are different

OEM only. Yes old ones last twice longer but are twice expensive.
Use the one you prefer, they are compatible!

Yup, i know they are compatible but new roller type is ok with life about 100k without problems for about $3-4 for piece.
Rollers price is so meaningless in cost calculation compare to everything else much expensive (toner,drum,belt,fusing...) and i cant understand why somebody using compatible rollers anyway.
When i said this above i refer to A3 mfps and production series but for A4 mfps is other storie.
I dont have much expirience with new A4 mfps but recently i ask about price for ADF pick up rollers bizhub 4050,4020... and shocked when get price from KM about $120.
This rollers have twice price of imaging unit for example, not real.
After that even more hate that small pieces of crap mfps.
For this series i would buy compatible rollers if somebody have infos because this "official" price is insane?

You might look at the Lexmark OEM parts. They ARE for the most part Lexmark rebadges, and the only difference is black, not gray rubber.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

For those with limited space - you dont need to carry or use the old a00j red rollers anymore. Many of our techs now fit the pink, clippy rollers with grey cores (a64 part number) to everything.

You can pull out this grey core and use it in place of the a108 rollers too - also without issue.

I have a c360i already with 100k on it so that will be the first i series i'll have to change rollers on at some stage - I already have their rollers and other parts in stock but have not needed them yet. (except for a factory destroyed belt that needed replacement)

Good advice, those a64j are even low priced plus 50% more expected life.

I use mostly China rollers. Like other poster I put them on oem shafts. If you get them from the right source they are same quality as oem. Wouldn't be surprised if they are coming from same factory.

I do use only OEM for black ribbed roller.

Where the real saving is using the aftermarket rollers on ADF's , no way in hell I'm paying $30 for a paper feed roller, A143563100, etc !!!!!

My bag contains everything but the kitchen sink as I absolutely detest having to walk back to the car unless necessary.

I even went from obese to skinny (by choice lost 35kg) and still hate walking back to the car. Obviously when belts or fusers etc are needed its still unavoidable.
