    c224 error c-2557

    hello

    i have this error c2557 which i cant get round

    ive replaced the drum and developer unit at the same time about 1 month ago every thing worked great then yesterday we had the error message, iv replaced the drum and checked the brushing, done the graduation adjustment toner is droping,

    some times you can print 10 sheets sometimes only 5 the developer was brand new when i replaced it
    please help

    you did intit the dev unit?

    OEM Original toner?

      yes oem toner


      intit the dev unit.... nope how do I do that, I did do a add toner cycle.

        Also I believe front bushings are modified, there's bulletin about that somewhere.

          Newer Konicas are easy on that, you only need to run Gradation Adjust after replacement of dev unit.

            hi yeah i did that when i installed the dev & drum unit every thing went great until i did a big run, then just before the end it started with this error.

            ive taken the front panel off and the screw on the black tones is spinning ok

              Next one to check would be A161R71122 Sub Hopper Assembly.

                I've had 2 calls for this issue in the last week both times I replaced this sub hopper.

                Check the toner bottle is rotating have seen the motor that drives it fail.

                  Take out black Dev unit and see if developer powder is missing (turn mag roller and see if even toner on roller). It may have dumped.

                  Keep in mind as mentioned on this forum many times, if "any" consumable is over life or bad they can affect "any" other color! Are any other consumables at 0% ? This is a chance you take when you turn off consumable reminders. Still way ahead of the game if this happens once during the life of machine.

                    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
