The original equipment is new in boxes/crates minus the PB-503.

The C6000 that was installed in less than 2 hours we used with 100k copies on it. It was installed 5-7 years ago.

I didn't buy the machine from a dealer as it would have cost me 10x more.

have you checked the cartons for setup/assembly instructions? they usually send them with the machines. along with ownership/warranty papers.

No, just have a printout of colors being calibrated and 138 sheets on the counter.

The PF-707M looks easy enough to hook in, not sure on the RU-518 but the PB-503 has me scared. If possible we would like to print this without the PB-503 and output on output tray on RU-518 but it doesn't look like KM system configurator allows that.

Wait for a tech willing to apply in your request.
This is a days work. A setup done in two hours is shoddy work indeed. Count me out. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

A service tech would spend more time watching you fumble around than actually setting it up himself.

There has to be an Independent in greater Chicago that is familiar with KM Production machines. Keep looking. I would suggest asking Adil at Galaxy Copiers if he knows anyone in your area (626)400-6639.
I'd be happy to help if you were in Southern California.

                    $1,500 - 2,000 dollars?!

Why wouldn't a Konica dealer just charge you their hourly rate? Usually 150 an hour maybe 200 in Chicago..

Due to getting run around from kmbs dealers we are going to attempt this ourselves. My warehouse guys have helped previously connect a production machine and did say it was a huge pain the butt as cables/ribbons are very, very short. They will be careful not to break anything and if we get nowhere will hire km on an hourly basis.

Does anyone know if there are installation manuals or youtube videos to help with install? I found this one for a c1070, how much different can c6100 be?

I love his videos, he explains alot of things so effortlessly

I'd be happy to print duplex with no finisher like he does here for time being (20:26 mark)

Is it possible to print with no finisher attached just relay unit RU-518 + pf-707m? Somehow lining up the finisher has me most afraid. The paper feeder and relay unit look easier.
