C224e airprint tab missing

One of my customers asked if I could turn on airprint but when I went to turn on under network settings tab was missing. Is there a soft switch setting that needs to be changed?
I usually turn this on with any machines I sell even though most customers don't use it. Just happens this customer wants to use it and first time I've never seen tab under network settings in admin mode?

Try this

Please note - In order to activate Airprint, the device must have G20-J6 or later firmware installed, and the device must be set to "Function Version 7" or later. (Please see the firmware readme for instructions).

Only "e" series devices are currently supported.



If the setting for Airprint is not available in PSWC (Pagescope Web Connection) then please clear your Web Browser Cache

Supported Apple devices to use AirPrint (iOS 4.2 or later /MacOS 10.7 or later):
- iPad (all models)
- iPhone (3GS or later)
- iPod touch (3rd generation or later)


Function Version 7 - New Features

This is an overview about new functions and operability improvements which are available with G20-J6 firmware by changing Soft Switch 25 to HEX60. (Function Version 7)

As stated above update the firmware & function version then you'll have the Airprint option in admin settings.

Thanks for the reply. This machine has firmware G20-M1 so will try setting to Func 7 & also the soft switchs for airprint

And if those members are "supporters" of this website I will offer them manuals or F/W for free. I don't believe in selling material that I don't own. Especially when copyrighted and illegal to do so.

Just a heads up. If you have any iOS 17 (or newer) clients trying to AirPrint to a 4e family copier, it will cause it to get stuck in multiple errors. Apple changed how AirPrint works in iOS17. We have been pushing all of our customers on older copiers to the Koncia Minolta app since it doesn't use AirPrint in any way.
