    Gentlemen
Anyone had this problem? I have the service manual. Could it be the cable? I searched and all I could find was a solution for an older Konica Minolta.

I've seen this 4 times, 3 times it was the ribbon cable going from the scanner ctrl board to the lamp, 1 time it was the Scanner control board. If I remember correctly the board was not intermittent, it was constant.

thats always been a faulty dual scan board in the back for me.
you can rule out the CCD by removing the dscb and setting ADF in service mode to none.
you should be able to scan and copy normal without a code to verify its the dscb.
            good luck!!
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...
