[Misc] Konica 308E Print Quality Problem

    Hi everyone

The problem is what he sees attached.
This problem only presents itself after a rest phase and after 2 pages it is completely disappeared.
It is not the first time that I have this problem on this specific printer. The other time I had replaced Drum and Developer but the problem came up after 90,000 pages.
I would like to understand if there is a bulletin or if other users have had the same problem

    thank you all

I've got many 8 series devices with all drums over 200% - one is in an architects with lots of colour copying. i'll only fit genuine KM drums though
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

I also have 8 series in color with duration beyond the declared life.
I am encountering a problem with the 308E/368E series. New and original drums and developers were installed in 2/2023, but after just 90,000 pages, the same problem persists

I agree with toxic that the 8 series drums suck. You are lucky to get 1/2 the life out of OEM drums in lower volume accounts. PCR's have no place in faster copiers. PCR's are ok for small printers but not copiers.

Have you found a solution to the problem? Is Konica aware of this drum duration issue?

Drums and fusers for this series 8e are very bad. Drum can show signs on prints at 50% and fusers give up early too.

What is the rotation time for the "failed" drum - as KM measure the drums in rotation time "M" as well as prints - it's possible for the drum to have done the required amount of rotations, even though it hasn't carried out the prints

The number of rotations is 4921M

The solution is very simple, the 8e series drum is crap, use the black c308 drum, which will fit perfectly, is cheaper and will last twice as long.

Is there any physical changes to make? Is the chip to change?

None, it works OK, and contrary to the manufacturer's claims, it lasts much longer.
