Had a customer send me the following pic of copier display. This happen a few pages into a 100 page job. First they got internal error message then the encryption password message in attached photo. It resets by powering off and on but message comes right back when it goes to print. Meter is only around 100k clicks. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

Yes they do. You should be able to pull a hard drive out of any 3-series B&W (if it's a 320GB, that series came with a mix of 250 and 320), 4-, 4e-, 7-, 8-, or 8e-series machine. Clear it using a PC (just deleting the partitions will suffice) and it can be installed into any other machine of the same series listed above.A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. Wanted to follow up, ended up replacing the HDD with a 320gb from a 4 series, did a logical format and all good. Well almost... after swapping HDD I loaded the animation F/W and latest regular FW then I got the C-C155 code because it had the FS534 on it.
This office has a few Bizhub C454e, can I roll FS534 over to one of the 4 series , connect and update with C454e FW, then put back on C658 without throwing the code?
Thanks again for the help😀 1Comment
