Hello, I am back once again lol. I have this FD-503 folding unit that keeps jamming in the same place between the main body and where it enters the the pullout folding unit. It does the same thing for different types of paper and folds. I'm not 100% sure but it seems like the unit doesn't even power on when the paper arrives or else it's just stopping as soon as it enters. My guess is there is some broken sensor

Hello, It's mounted to a 1250p. I opened the door and stuffed some paper into the sensor to see what it was doing when it jammed. It appears that the folding unit is not spinning up when the folder is activated. The post insert will grab the paper and it works fine until it hits the actual folding unit. I'm not getting any code on the screen and the report I printed out shows nothing either somehow. I should mention when i close the door or fool the sensor it'll spin up like usual for a moment but not in operation.Comment

And the jam code?If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Try updating firmware first , then check the wiring in the fold unit . as far as board I would get the service manual and use the load check mode to run the motors and gates to see if they are working. Then hopefully you will discover which motor or gate solenoid isn't working and if the none of them are working . I would look at wiring diagram to see which board controls them. Sorry but I dont have time to look it upComment

I think I found the issue. The 70-06 I/0 check causes a loud almost grinding noise. While the 70-07 check seems to work fine. Same motor different rotation direction.
