oh yes.....the tie...i made the mistake of wearing a tie clip - discovered very quickly that it gets mangled when it gets caught in the drive gears/chain....biggrin.png
The first thing comes to mind is the tie. I could never figure out why we had to wear tie back then. My guess is so the owners could charge more by making us techs look professional. Wish I had a dollar for every time I was asked by secretaries, etc why I was dressed so nice to work on copiers. And was even servicing liquid machines with the monkey suit on!
Two things I was taught early on was keep your tie tucked into shirt when working on machine and scissors close by in case tie got fed into machine
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...Comment

the dress code just said a tie so my 2nd year i started wearing funny ties, had a dozen with silly graphics and one even said F%#K you over and over on it in a design you couldnt tell unless you were REAL close
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

I had one plain tie, the rest were cartoon or graphic style. Burned most of them when we went to polo.Comment

So funny! I STILL carry around my plastic Toshiba BD analog copier door jig, use it about once a decade on the new boxes!!😎😁😂🤣😎
